The Band has just returned from a hugely successful tour of Normandy,
playing at services and concerts to commemorate the Allied Landings on
D-Day, sixty six years ago.
Memorial services at Pegasus Bridge - probably one of the most significant
operations of the D-Day campaign and at Ranville, the first village to
be liberated were, amongst others, the band's most poignant and memorable
performances to date. Veterans of the 6th Airborne Division - 'The Red
Berets', joined the band for a curry supper and the Pegasus Pipes &
Drums from the Netherlands played alongside the band to thousands attending
the Ranville Service.
The Band in the past has also attended the Mellieha International Band
Festival in Malta.
